YOUR IMPACT

OpenText is seeking a Lead Business Systems Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this high-impact individual contributor role, you will serve as a strategic partner between business stakeholders and corporate Enterprise Content Management and Process Automation teams. As a lead, you will guide the direction of analysis work on complex initiatives, influence solution design, and mentor other analysts while driving technology solutions that improve business operations. This role is ideal for a seasoned analyst who thrives on delivering business value through systems thinking, collaboration, and expert-level analysis.

What The Role Offers

• Lead the analysis of complex business problems and opportunities using a structured requirements process (gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing changes), helping to shape solution direction and strategic priorities.
• Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, providing insight into solution options, risks, and cost/benefit trade-offs.
• Translate high-level business needs into clear and actionable functional specifications for technical teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Provide thought leadership in the design and documentation of current and future state business processes, data models, and system interactions.
• Mentor and support other Business Analysts by sharing expertise, offering guidance on best practices, and modeling high-quality deliverables.
• Bridge the gap between business and technical teams, facilitating effective communication, shared understanding, and stakeholder alignment throughout the solution lifecycle.
• Champion Agile delivery practices, participating in Agile ceremonies and collaborating with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to ensure well-defined user stories and priorities.
• Partner with development, QA, security, and compliance teams to ensure solutions are robust, secure, and meet business needs.
• Drive process improvement initiatives and proactively identify opportunities for system optimization or automation.
• Prepare and present clear findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including leadership.
  
  

What You Need To Succeed

• University degree preferred, ideally in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology.
• 7+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, with a proven record of delivering complex, cross-functional solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, providing direction and clarity without formal authority.
• Strong expertise in Agile methodologies, requirements elicitation, and business process modeling.
• Excellent analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and concisely.
• Comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all organizational levels, from end users to senior leadership.
• Familiarity with enterprise content management and process automation platforms is an asset.
