Employment Coach
YWCA Metro Vancouver

Under the supervision of the Senior Operations Manager of the North Vancouver WorkBC Centre, the Employment Coach is responsible for working closely with WorkBC Clients across the North Shore catchment who need to re-attach or maintain employment in the workforce by assessing service suitability, developing and implementing a Sustainment Plan.
What you’ll be doing:
Contact job sustainment clients to follow up on their employment status, confirm employment details, collect employment verification, ensure employment stability, and offer necessary services.
Input, edit, and update client information into the Integrated Case Management (ICM) database and complete billing
Regular follow-up to provide support and confirm progress towards re-employment
Transfer data between different software applications, verifying accuracy and completeness
Maintain data integrity by following data entry guidelines and procedures
Work with Clients to develop a Job Sustainment Plan
Assess clients and ensure they receive the appropriate support to re-attach to the workforce and/or maintain employment, including addressing any client barriers and building on client strengths
Work with Employers to market Clients for employment opportunities and to develop a job sustainment plan where necessary
Provide Training to clients on job sustainment-related topics
Liaison with colleagues to ensure clients access to needed services
Offer one-to-one employment coaching services to Job Sustainment clients
Flexibility in delivering services through various channels such as phone, online and one-to-one
Other duties as required
What you’ll need:
A valid criminal record check, including working with vulnerable populations, is required, and
Demonstrated experience of 1-2 years in facilitation, career coaching, career advising and/or placement services including:
providing customer service and resolving issues both in person and in a virtual service delivery environment
working with individuals with complex barriers and a broad range of cultural backgrounds
developing and facilitating employment related workshops
conducting and interpreting needs assessments
coaching and mentoring participants; and
building partnerships with employers, community agencies and other stakeholders;
or
a post-secondary certificate, degree or diploma in a relevant field (e.g., career or employment development, vocational rehabilitation, social work, psychology, sociology, human services, counselling, education or human resources management.)

Pay Rate: $ 31.16
