Introduction

The SLV T&C System Leader has a functional and coordinating role for on-site testing activities of the various SLV subsystems. He is jointly responsible, along with the SLV Testing Manager, for successfully carrying out on-site tests and commissioning, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, project strategy, and company policies (including EHS, railway safety, applicable standards, and local regulations).

Overview

The SLV T&C System Leader is part of SLV (Signaling & Low Voltage) team within REM project. He reports to the PrCOM & interfaces with many teams: local partner or sub-contractor, other SLV T&C teams, Rolling Stock T&C representatives, other contractor T&C representatives and in factory the different sources of technical knowledge for site support.

Specific responsibilities of the role

• Coordinates the resolution of system anomalies within the SLV T&C.

• Collaborates with the SLV engineering teams and the support of the SLV T&C teams to define the strategy and schedule for SLV system testing.

• Facilitates the interface with the engineering and MRS T&C teams (Turnkey) on all matters concerning SLV systems.

• Leads the preparation and approval of SLV system T&C procedures and documentation in coordination with subsystem testing managers.

• Monitors the installed configuration in collaboration with the SLV subsystem T&C managers.

• Manages the verification of SLV system T&C reports in interface with the testing managers of the various subsystems.

• Participates in anomaly resolution and trains other team members in testing through his in-depth knowledge.

• Takes charge of tracking SLV system anomalies and interfaces with the engineering teams to expedite their resolution.

• Participates in technical discussions with the client and advocates for the company's interests.

• Provides a weekly progress report to the SLV Testing Manager.

Desired skills & experience

• Competencies: Strong leadership, method and organization, sense of urgency, priority management, persuasive and team spirit, facilitating relationship, very good listener and ability to convey messages.
• Previous experience: At least 5 years of experience in similar functions (V&V or T&C of SLV systems)
• Technical skills:
  • SLV systems troubleshooting (ATS, SCADA, CBTC, ISM...)

  • Good understanding of SLV system development and T&C processes.

• Education: Engineer.
• Language skills: Fluent English and French.
• Mobility / flexible hours requirements: work in flexible shifts (night, week-end) can be expected depending on project phase and available T&C shifts. Potential trips worldwide for Factory Acceptance Tests or technical meetings/trainings.
