About the job:

• Support the survey team by completing day-to-day surface tasks, when necessary, including but not limited to:
• Pattern layouts and ditch toe pick-ups
• Grade checks (dumps, dams, ramps, pit floor, stockpiles, etc.)
• Layout of no-dig zones and dump limits
• Restricted area mark-ups
• Survey data processing
• Drone flights for aerial mapping and data collection
• Plan and prioritize all survey tasks in a safe and efficient manner to avoid operational delays.

Start/ End Hours- Rotation schedule: working a 4,3 schedule, transitioning to a 5,2-schedule starting in September.

What you need:

• A Technician or Technologist Diploma in mining or civil engineering, or equivalent.
• A minimum of 2 years of survey experience is required.
• Mine operation survey experience is preferred.
• Be technically competent and have a good understanding of Surface survey techniques and practices.
• Able to work collaboratively within small teams and communicate with other departments.
• Be focused and self-motivated.
• Strong computer skills. Familiarity with Pix4D, Point studio, Deswik would be considered an asset.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is required.
