What We Need

Corpay is currently looking to hire a Compliance Team Lead – Crypto & Blockchain within our Compliance division. This position will focus on supporting Corpay’s crypto-related initiatives across various lines of business and global markets. In this role, you will lead a team of compliance professionals responsible for onboarding, monitoring, and ensuring regulatory compliance for virtual asset service providers (VASPs) and other blockchain-enabled businesses. You will report directly to the Head of Compliance and regularly collaborate with cross-functional teams including Legal, Risk, Product, and Technology.

As a Compliance Team Lead – Crypto & Blockchain, you will be expected to work in an on-site environment. Corpay will set you up for success by providing:

Role Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Leading and mentoring a team of compliance analysts supporting crypto client onboarding, transaction monitoring, and due diligence.
  • Acting as the internal crypto compliance subject matter expert.
  • Overseeing licensing and registration processes for crypto activities (e.g., MSB, VASP licensing).
  • Interpreting and implementing regulatory changes related to virtual assets across multiple jurisdictions (e.g., FINTRAC, FATF Travel Rule, CSA, FinCEN, MiCA).
  • Conducting and managing crypto client risk assessments, enhanced due diligence (EDD), and source of funds/wealth reviews.
  • Developing onboarding procedures tailored to various crypto business models (e.g., exchanges, wallets, mining, NFT platforms).
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams on product launches and crypto-related partnerships.
  • Preparing and presenting crypto compliance risk assessments and metrics to leadership and regulatory bodies.
  • Delivering training on crypto compliance trends, risks, and red flags.
  • Promoting a compliance-first culture while supporting innovation in the crypto space.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 3-5 years of experience
  • In-depth knowledge of cryptocurrency markets, blockchain technology, and virtual asset regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven experience working with regulatory bodies and licensing authorities (FINTRAC, FinCEN, NYDFS, EU MiCA, etc.).
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to develop and mentor a compliance team.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with an ability to identify trends, solve problems, and make informed decisions.
  • Skilled in data verification, documentation, and use of compliance tools (e.g., Salesforce, LexisNexis, NetReveal).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills—both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence without authority.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Regulatory Fluency – Up-to-date knowledge of crypto-specific laws and international regulatory standards.
  • Training & Education – Ability to educate stakeholders on evolving crypto risks, red flags, and regulatory expectations.
