The Role
As Vice President, Venture—reporting directly to the Head of Travel Edge Network—you will lead the strategic development, deployment, and growth of the Travel Edge Network’s Venture Program. This program is designed for aspiring luxury travel professionals, providing in-depth industry training and access to a world-class technical platform for seamless travel planning, booking, and invoicing.
We are seeking a dynamic leader with a strong track record in venture building, business development, and innovation, ideally within the travel, hospitality, or technology sectors.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the strategic roadmap for the Venture Program, including setting goals, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Design and execute outreach strategies to attract and retain new-to-travel advisors supporting their growth into highly productive entrepreneurs through a tailored travel and business curriculum.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats
- Build deep expertise on competitive activity within the “new to travel” space.
- Collaborate with Marketing to position the Venture Program as best in class within the Host Agency community.
- Partner with Advisor Services to ensure a seamless transition as they mature and shift into other segments of Travel Edge.
- Maintain a pricing model for Venture that remains competitive and contributes positively to Travel Edge’s P&L.
- Promote a positive and engaging work culture through skill development, coaching and inspirational leadership.
- Design and implement scalable processes, systems, and structures to achieve short- and long-term objectives.
- Leverage data to optimize program offerings, pricing, and strategic direction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in business development, client services, venture building, or management consulting.
- Experience in the travel, hospitality, or tech sectors preferred. Familiarity with franchise-like operating models is a plus.
- Proven ability to think strategically while managing day-to-day operations.
- Strong relationship-builder, trusted by senior leadership and advisors alike.
- High energy, entrepreneurial mindset with a can-do attitude.
- Demonstrated success in launching or scaling new ventures or business units.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong leadership, project management, and cross-functional collaboration experience.
- Comfortable presenting to C-level executives and boards, with an ability to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
