Clerk B EIAC

Under the supervision of the Administrative Assistant, the EIAC Clerk is responsible for providing a number of administrative functions respecting Card Access System maintained by the Municipal Accommodations Division; is one of the 311 Call Centre’s contact person for the division; provides administrative support (including typing, using Word, tracking information in Excel, and filing in respect to Archives) to all branches in the division; provides relief coverage for other clerical positions within the division; performs minimal data entry and verification of timesheet information in the Maximo system; and performs other duties within the job classification as required.
As the Clerk B - EIAC Clerk you will:
- Provide clerical and administrative support for security initiatives under the Card Access System by the Division.
- Divisional contact for 311.
- Provide archival and administrative support to all branches in the Division.
- Provide relief coverage for other clerical positions within the branch and perform other duties consistent with the job classification as required.
Your education and qualifications include:
- Grade 12 or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience providing clerical and administrative support in an office setting.
- Experience using a computer and MS Office software (Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Experience preparing various correspondence and documents
- Ability to type 40 wpm.
- Ability to effectively deal with potentially stressful situations.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Ability to deal effectively with the public and City staff in a positive and supportive manner, in person, over the phone or email.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Willing and able to take and successfully complete additional training and instruction.
