THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- A postgraduate degree specializing in the application of advanced statistical analysis and/or machine learning to geoscience
- Mining / metals industry experience
- Registration as either an Engineer or Geologist in Training (EIT/GIT) with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC)
- Strong programming skills with a scientific coding language (Python, R, Julia) and frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch
- A strong theoretical background with demonstrated competence in defining applied and practical solutions
- Proven ability to work independently and in a team to generate, implement, and complete projects
- Willingness to partake in field investigations.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud computing solutions
- Proficiency with geospatial tools (ArcGIS, QGIS) and/or 3D implicit modeling software (Leapfrog)
- Experience in rock mechanics, soil mechanics, structural geology, or geostatistics.
- Experience in geoscience, geophysics, geochemistry data integration
- Prior consulting experience
