Responsibilities :

Forecasts

  • Provide forecast reviews for all regular promotional items and special programs
  • Provide total sales forecast reviews for a specific item to category teams
  • Provide analysis to support forecasts if there is a large difference between category and allocation estimates
  • Provide guidance on preferred merchandising tool (bulk cases, half- or full-pallet displays, or a combination of both)

Process management

  • Determine item allocation based on sales history, schematics and impacts of store seasonality, spread across all available delivery lots
  • validate ready-to-sell pallet opportunities
  • If no item history is available, items are allocated according to the sales history of similar items/categories.
  • Ensure all records are up to date to finalize allocation.
  • Adjust the allocation of a specific store according to current stock on hand.
  • Adjust allocation in specific cases based on feedback from Store Operations.
  • Review the flow of items and propose measures to increase or reduce purchases in order to optimize store sales and inventory.
  • Review or modify files to ensure items are purchased or cancelled.
  • Collaborate with the Category and Overseas Allocation teams to review promotional sales strategies and planning.
  • Follow-up with purchasing support team for allocations not delivered to stores.
  • Create an alternative supply plan if the allocation is not triggered.
  • Create and transmit your distribution files by store ten (10) days before the start of the program.
  • Generate end-of-sale reports to ensure excess inventory is processed in a timely manner.

Job Requirements:

  • Completion of a Post-Secondary Education program
  • Meticulous and able to manage multiple priority tasks in a fast-paced work environment
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent command of Excel (advanced level)
  • Knowledge of SAP is an asset
  • French/English bilingual an asset but not required
