Where you fit in

Responsible for monitoring and managing the technical support of the inventory management system and processes within ambulatory pharmacy purchasing, in addition to the pharmacy buyer role which is as follows: Orders, receives and maintains adequate supplies of pharmaceuticals and supplies for utilization by ambulatory and outpatient locations. Responsible for managing inventory control of pharmaceuticals and related invoice documentation.

Your Exceptional Skills Exceptional Qualifications

  • Uses inventory control strategies to maintain optimal levels of pharmaceuticals and supplies in the pharmacy perpetual inventory.
  • Reconciles all purchase orders and processes invoices for timely payment.
  • Maintains processes to ensure accurate cost and pricing information in databases.
  • Performs medication compounding according to professional standards under the supervision of a pharmacist when necessary.
  • Produces essential reports related to use of pharmaceuticals.
  • Fulfills ambulatory requisitions, packages orders, and oversees of delivery via courier services.
  • Manages the technical support of the medication inventory distribution system and processes.
  • Manages technologies and processes utilized for ambulatory regulatory compliance.
  • High School Diploma or GED : High school diploma or GED equivalent is required; College graduate (Associate’s or Bachelor’s) preferred (Required)
  • Required Certifications/Licensures: (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) National Certification)
  • Institutional pharmacy experience required (Buyer experience required)
