Job Description:

On behalf of our healthcare client, Affinity Healthcare Solutions is looking for an experienced Project Manager to work on the procurement and implementation of a new kidney renal dialysis software to replace the existing system to replacing the current MIQS software. The existing system is end of life and unsupported by the vendor.


Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end project lifecycle for the replacement of the existing kidney/renal dialysis software, from initiation through implementation and closeout

• Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers aligned with clinical and operational goals

• Coordinate with clinical teams, IT staff, vendors, and leadership to gather requirements, ensure alignment, and define success criteria for the new system

• Manage the procurement process, including needs assessment, RFP development, vendor evaluation, and contract negotiation

• Oversee system design, configuration, integration, testing, data migration, and go-live planning

• Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring proactive resolution and timely communication with stakeholders

• Develop and implement change management, training, and user adoption strategies to ensure smooth transition from the legacy system

• Monitor and report on project progress, budget status, and key milestones to project sponsors and governance committees

• Ensure technical readiness, system security, and compliance with privacy, clinical safety, and regulatory standards throughout the project

• Support legacy system decommissioning, ensuring data integrity, business continuity, and minimal disruption to patient care


Qualifications:

• 8+ years of progressive experience in project or program management, including leadership of clinical system implementations in healthcare settings

• Experience managing software replacement projects, particularly those involving end-of-life systems, data migration, and vendor transitions

• Strong understanding of clinical workflows in renal or dialysis care, or similar specialized care environments

• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams including clinical users, technical staff, vendors, and executive stakeholders

• Demonstrated success delivering healthcare IT projects with tight timelines, regulatory constraints, and multiple stakeholder groups

• Experience overseeing procurement processes, including RFP development, vendor evaluation, and contract negotiations

• Excellent communication, facilitation, and change management skills, with a focus on user engagement and training

• Knowledge of privacy, security, and regulatory compliance requirements related to clinical data and patient information

• PMP certification or equivalent project management training preferred

• Demonstrated ability to analyze and document business problems and design an approach to solve them using established business process improvement methodologies.

• Demonstrated ability to present and facilitate.

• Working knowledge of project management principles and techniques.

Technical knowledge/Skills

• Must be strong at using the entire MS Office Suite and Visio
