Provincial Lead Oral Health

Job Description

Shared Health is accepting applications for the position of Provincial Lead, Oral Health.

The Provincial Lead, Oral Health will report to the Provincial Chief Medical Officer, Shared Health.

The Provincial Lead Oral Health will liaise with the Manitoba Dental Association and the Faculty of Dentistry where appropriate for service delivery enhancement and teaching and research activities within the Provincial Oral Health Specialty.

Qualifications

• To hold or be eligible to obtain a license to practice dentistry from the Manitoba Dental Association
• Graduate training will be preferred
  
  

Duties And Responsibilities

Experience in an oral health leadership role preferred.

In Collaboration With Other Program Team Members

• Facilitates the continuous development of an integrated Oral Health Services within the province.
• Participates in the financial management of Oral Health services
• Provides professional leadership to the oral health staff in the Oral Health Specialty.
• Establishes Oral Health policies and procedures, rules and regulations and participates/leads quality improvement initiatives.
• Chairs Program Section meetings as required.
• Communicates effectively with all Oral Health Staff.
• Ensures all dental standards are developed, monitored, and appropriate intervention taken when necessary.
