Network Consultant

We are seeking an energetic and client-oriented Network and IT Systems Consultant for our Vancouver branch. In this role, you will build trusted relationships with clients and internal stakeholders while helping the team provide consultancy services for the implementation of industry-leading network and IT solutions.

A Day in the Life:

• Implement network technology solutions to help meet clients’ requirements and solve challenges
• Support the implementation of standard and custom technical solutions under the guidance of senior team members
• Participate in operational escalations to help diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and assist in replacing defective components when necessary
• Support the implementation of network and system security measures to protect data, software, and hardware
• Help create relevant documentation as required, including but not limited to conceptual design, logical design, physical design, bill of materials, as-built diagrams, knowledge transfer materials, FAQs, and transition to operations information
• Provide input and support for recommending changes to improve systems and network configurations in client environments
  
  

What You Bring:

• 1 year of experience with network and/or general IT systems support, deployment, and administration (Co-op, internship, or professional experience)
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to juggle multiple projects and competing priorities
• Strong desire to develop and grow your technical skills not only in networking but other areas of IT Consulting
• Foundational knowledge or exposure to:
• Networking Route/Switch concepts
• Firewalls: Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto (hands-on experience is a bonus)
• Security: Awareness of Cisco ISE and/or Clearpass is an asset
• Cisco Duo familiarity is a plus
