Role Summary

NearSource is looking for a Product Designer to support the development of digital manufacturing experiences for a global leader in the software industry. In this role, you'll shape workflows, user interactions, and design systems for platforms transforming smart factories and AI-powered production environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and researchers to define user journeys across desktop, browser, and mobile platforms
  • Develop interaction design prototypes to guide vision alignment and feature validation
  • Conduct user testing, analyze results, and iterate designs based on actionable feedback
  • Create scalable UI patterns and contribute to the evolution of the design system across products
  • Participate in design sprints focused on integrating product design, manufacturing workflows, and AI-driven insights
  • Align cross-functional teams on design direction while navigating technical constraints and enterprise-scale use cases


Must-Have Skills

  • Proficient in UX design for software platforms, with a strong focus on user-centered design principles
  • Experienced in building prototypes and workflows using Figma
  • Hands-on with Adobe Creative Suite, Jira, and Miro or Mural
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Effective communicator with excellent presentation skills in English
  • Skilled at collaborating with distributed, cross-functional teams across time zones


Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience designing solutions for manufacturing, production processes, or data visualization
  • Understanding of real-time production systems or scheduling/task management platforms
  • Passionate about AI, emerging technologies, and the digital transformation of manufacturing
  • Ability to connect design workflows across multiple tools and platforms


Certifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or a related field
