This position is part of the Logistics department located in Guelph, Ontario and will be on-site.
In this role, a typical day will look like:
- Manage the coordination of small parcel shipments, regional carriers, Less-than-Truckload (LTL), and Full-Truckload (FTL) freight, ensuring timely pickup and delivery.
- Support trade compliance efforts and oversee broker-related activities.
- Address and resolve transit issues, including stalled shipments, by filing and tracking claims for lost or damaged goods with carriers.
- Provide accurate freight quotes and tracking information to both internal and external customers.
- Conduct freight payment audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain proper import documentation and record-keeping in alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to cost optimization and enhance on-time delivery performance.
- Effectively manage additional logistics-related responsibilities as assigned by the Global Logistics Manager.
- 3-5 years relevant logistics and customs experience
- Experienced in coordinating small parcel, regional carriers, LTL, and FTL shipments.
- Ability to demonstrate change management skills/experience.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Business orientation and acumen, fast and assertive decision-making based on analytical thinking. High accuracy and attention to detail are essential requirements for this position
