Responsibilities
- Increase sales through greater penetration within existing accounts, while also prospecting and building business with new accounts
- Demonstrates outstanding customer service to build relationships and ensure customer satisfaction
- Implement and manage pricing strategies within all accounts
- Work with manufacturers' representatives to sell promoted items
- Attend sales meetings and meet with sales manager on a regular basis
- Manage Accounts Receivables successfully
- Communicate and cooperate in a productive manner with all departments
- Utilize all appropriate VIP sales techniques and methodologies
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
- High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Professional Selling, Marketing or Business a plus
- Previous selling experience in a paper, packaging, janitorial/sanitation or food service distribution industry preferred
- Requires outstanding customer service skills and the ability to work in a team setting with a diverse group of employees, managers, and outside parties
- Required to work independently, with minimal supervision
- The position requires outstanding analytical, organizational and oral/written communication skills
- Must be able to utilize acceptable mathematical skills
- Demonstrate a friendly and professional appearance
- Requires ability to efficiently use Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word and Excel
- Experience with IBM AS400 operating system highly desired
