About the Team

We are a highly collaborative, dynamic, close-knit department that works to ensure inventory accuracy, counts, and transfers are done immediately. The Warehouse Supervisor oversees daily operations of the plant warehouse, including storage, movement, and distribution of materials and components essential to production. This role ensures activities are executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety regulations. You will support 25-30 direct reports per shift in this role, including forklift drivers, receivers, and material handlers.

THIS POSITION PROVIDES THE OPTION TO WORK EITHER A ROTATING SHIFT SCHEDULE, OR STRICTLY AN AFTERNOON SHIFT SCHEDULE.

IN A ROTATING SHIFT SCHEDULE, YOU WILL ROTATE THE DAY SHIFT FOR 2 WEEKS (7AM-3PM) AND THE AFTERNOON SHIFT FOR THE NEXT 2 WEEKS (3PM-11PM). YOU WILL CONTINUE ROTATING SHIFTS EVERY 2 WEEKS DURING THE YEAR.

YOU ALSO HAVE THE OPTION TO WORK JUST THE AFTERNOON SHIFT (3PM-11PM) EVERY WEEK.

THE SELECTED CANDIDATE WILL BE EXPECTED TO WORK EITHER A ROTATING SHIFT SCHEDULE, OR STRICTLY AN AFTERNOON SHIFT SCHEDULE, ALONG WITH OVERTIME AND WEEKENDS AS NEEDED.

What you can look forward to as a Warehouse Supervisor
  • Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse functions: receiving, storage, picking, and distribution of parts and materials.
  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of components to production lines to meet schedules.
  • Oversee inventory practices including stock rotation, cycle counts, and material usage tracking to prevent stockouts or overages. Monitor inventory to ensure availability of critical parts and minimize excess.
  • Lead, train, and mentor warehouse staff, including forklift operators and material handlers. Develop schedules and ensure adequate staffing to support production.
  • Enforce safety regulations, PPE use, and safe handling of materials and equipment. Conduct safety inspections and audits to maintain a safe environment.
  • Manage parts tracking via barcode scanning, SAP, or other WMS tools.
  • Work with Planners to resolve discrepancies, damaged goods, and material movement issues.
  • Address employee concerns or conflicts and escalate as needed.
Your Profile as a Warehouse Supervisor
  • Minimum 3–5 years of warehouse management experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role in a manufacturing or automotive unionized environment.
  • Experience with SAP and warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) preferred.
  • Experience with MS Office suite (outlook, excel, word) and WMS (warehouse management systems)
  • The ideal candidate demonstrates leadership, technical skill, and operational expertise. Must be able to lead, motivate, and develop a team to achieve high performance.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory practices, including stock rotation, cycle counts, and discrepancy resolution, is required.
  • Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing and logistics coordination is essential.
  • Must possess strong communication and time management skills to interact effectively with staff, leadership, and cross-functional teams.
  • Conflict resolution skills and a customer-focused mindset are essential to ensure delivery accuracy and satisfaction.
