About The Job

The Kelowna General Hospital Laboratory is our largest and most specialized 24/7 lab and progressive teaching facility. The Lab consists of hundreds of team members who work collaboratively in a variety of disciplines such as Collections, Accession, Chemistry, Hematology, Transfusion Medicine, Microbiology, Histology, AP and Molecular. As a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT), you will work independently in a team-based environment and perform a variety of duties within the Core Lab disciplines. Typical duties may include performing routine and/or complex tests utilizing manual procedures and automated instruments, collecting and/or receiving specimens, entering data into the LIS, validating/reporting test results, maintaining instruments and preparing solutions and control agents.

This is a Relief Full Time (1.00) opportunity until the return of the incumbent.
