About The Opportunity
We are offering an early-career opportunity for individuals looking to build hands-on experience in aerospace manufacturing within our Industrialization Team. This role is for final-year students or recent graduates from relevant programs including Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Aerospace Engineering, Data Analytics or Information Systems who are eager to apply their technical skills in a real-world production environment. This is a temporary full-time placement lasting 16 months, based in Calgary, Alberta.
As an Operations Business Analyst Intern, you will play a key role in supporting the Industrialization team at De Havilland by creating smart data solutions that drive efficiency and visibility across critical hardware and tooling systems. Working under the guidance of the Industrialization Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for developing intuitive, scalable databases that support Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), tooling location tracking, and general equipment cataloging. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in aerospace manufacturing while contributing to meaningful process improvements.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement a robust database system for inventorying VMI hardware
- Develop a separate, user-friendly database for cataloguing tool locations across the facility, enabling faster access and visibility for key stakeholders.
- Create efficient upload and data entry processes to ensure future scalability and ease of use.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data needs, process gaps, and improvement opportunities.
- Support operations by developing and maintaining records of tooling assets and equipment.
- Assist with other industrialization initiatives as required, helping to streamline workflows and improve process standardization.
- A final year student or recent graduate in a post-secondary program in Data Science, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database tools (e.g., Microsoft Access, SQL, or similar platforms).
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with manufacturing or aerospace environments is a plus, but not required.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Self-starter with a strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
