The Senior Analyst, Enterprise Financial Planning & Analysis position will be a key member of the Corporate Finance team. The Sr. Analyst will partner with groups across OMERS to deliver consolidated quarterly reporting, forecasts and annual operating plans for the OMERS Pension Plan; preparing financial analysis and communications to the CFO, Audit and Actuarial Committee of the OMERS Board; and other time sensitive ad hoc analysis and projects for the Finance leadership team.

Responsibilities
- Coordinating deliverables and preparing written reporting and analysis dependent on many business partners including risk, total portfolio management, actuarial, Corporate and Investment FP&A teams for the CFO and Committees of the Board
- Provide financial analysis including operational performance trends, variance analysis against operating plan and historical results, identify operational and strategic implications, and help to provide meaningful, actionable insights, advice, recommendations and key actions to business stakeholders
- Work closely with Senior Management and provide financial advisory and support to help achieve financial targets, identify risks & opportunities, and provide high quality performance measurement analysis
- Review a variety of management reports including reports and/or graphs to support Board subcommittee presentations, trend analysis, financial analysis & modeling to OMERS Senior Management. This also includes creating specialty reports using a variety of industry research, data sources and analytical tools
- Prepare a variety of management reports including reports to support Board subcommittee presentations, trend analysis, financial analysis & modeling to OMERS Senior Management.
- Complete sensitive assignments at the direction of the leadership within tight time frames and with minimal supervision
- Participating in special projects as required
- Minimum 3 years of related working experience in progressively responsible positions
- University degree plus an accounting designation (CPA, CA, or CMA)
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal), excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to build trusting relationships
- Ability to create as well as deliver effective and high-quality presentations
- Strong analytical ability; able to clearly link financial results to strategic and operational activities
- Expert level skills using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated technical accounting skills and business acumen
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proven ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment with numerous competing priorities and tight deadlines
- Self-starter able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong team player with a positive attitude, and willingness to help colleagues
