Context
The Health, Safety, and Quality Specialist ensures a safe and compliant work environment, while promoting continuous improvement and operational excellence across projects.
Missions/Main Duties
Education: Bachelor’s degree (or college diploma) in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
Years of experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in Health, Safety and Quality field. Experience in the railway industry or construction industry is an asset.

Context
The Health, Safety, and Quality Specialist ensures a safe and compliant work environment, while promoting continuous improvement and operational excellence across projects.
Missions/Main Duties
- Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific Health & Safety Plans and risk assessments, ensuring compliance with SYSTRA, client, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide training in Health, Safety, and Quality, and promote continuous improvement through regular site inspections, Safety Observation Tours (SOTs), and incident investigations with effective tracking and follow-up of corrective actions.
- Establish emergency response plans and prepare regular Health & Safety reports.
- Manage and enhance the Quality Management System, including documentation, audits, management reviews, and tracking of key performance indicators.
- Coordinate preparation and documentation for ISO 9001 certification audits.

Technical Competencies
- In-depth knowledge of federal and provincial Health & Safety legislation;
- Strong understanding of ISO 45001, COR, and ISO 9001 standard requirements;
- Extensive experience in Health, Safety, and Quality auditing;
- Advanced expertise in electronic document management;
- Proficient in various software applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams, and SharePoint;
- Clear verbal and written communication skills, both in French and in English*
