Description:
We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic volunteer to help water and care for plants both inside and outside our seniors home. This role also includes assisting with gardening activities and spending one-on-one time with residents who enjoy nature and conversation.
Responsibilities:
- Water indoor and outdoor plants
- Assist with seasonal gardening (planting, weeding, light maintenance)
- Engage with residents through gardening and friendly visits
- Report any plant or resident concerns to staff
- Love of plants and being outdoors
- Friendly and patient demeanor
- Dependable and respectful
- Comfortable interacting with seniors, including those with mobility challenges
- Make a meaningful impact in the lives of seniors
- Enjoy nature and gardening
- Build community connections
- A clean record check is required for this position
- Outgoing personality and good conversationalist
