Your role:
- Preparation of compilation, review and audit engagements
- Preparation of corporate, personal and trust income tax returns
- Preparation of tax slips (T3, T4, T5, etc.)
- Performing and leading audits
- Identifying and resolving engagement issues
- Supporting year-end planning
- Developing and maintaining positive and productive working relationships
- Direct field work and informing manager(s) of the engagement status
- Developing strong technical audit, accounting and tax skills
- University degree in commerce or accounting
- Attained a Canadian professional accounting designation (CPA, CA) or CPA in waiting
- 3+ years experience at public accounting firm with a minimum of two years of audit and assurance experience
- Working knowledge of Caseware, Taxprep/iFirm, Keystone, and Quickbooks preferred
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Interest in managing and developing others
- Ability to prioritize and manage deliverables, adhering to time and budget constraints
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines, which can be conflicting with one another
- Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to work and learn
- An inclination for attention to detail and accuracy
- A desire to be an integral part of a fun team environment
