As we continue to grow, we are looking for a IT Field technician L2 to join the MSP Corp. Central team.

About The Role

As a IT Field technician L2, you will be responsible in providing assistance to customers or internal users by diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to hardware, software, and network systems in an on-site capacity. This includes troubleshooting, guiding users through problem-solving steps, and ensuring timely solutions to maintain system functionality and user satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, communication skills, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service.

Location: Richmond Hill, Ontario

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Work Mode:Onsite

What You Will Do

  • Provide technical support to clients, resolving complex issues escalated from Level 1 support primarily at the client’s site.
  • Manage technical support ticket queues in an organized and timely manner.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, including wired and wireless networks, VOIP, LAN, WAN and Firewall Policies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Server issues, including server OS-level issues, storage technologies and maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain On-Prem, Hybrid and Cloud Infrastructures including hardware maintenance and incident response.
  • Administer and troubleshoot M365 environments, including Exchange Online, Entra ID, Teams, SharePoint and other key M365 admin portals.
  • Perform user On-Boarding and Offboarding as required.
  • Diagnose end-user devices with OS Issues and Hardware issues
  • Assist with Cyber security Incident response.
  • Assist with projects as required.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
  • Participate in after-hours on-call rotation.
  • Maintain documentation of on-site activities and client infrastructure.

What We Are Looking For

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a technical support role, with at least 1 year in a Level 2 capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including OSI, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
  • Extensive Experience with end user devices running windows 10/11 & MacOS as well as mobile devices running android and IOS.
  • Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 administration including Exchange Online, Teams, Sharepoint, Onedrive for Business.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.
  • Experience with server, storage, UPS, and networking hardware.
  • Experience with endpoint management, MDR, and cybersecurity incident response.
  • Strong understanding of best practices in IT Operations and Security.
  • Good understanding of standard line of business apps in various industries.
  • A quick learner with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical, organizing and problem-solving abilities.
  • Have a ‘G’ driving license with a reliable vehicle and be willing to travel to client sites.
  • Relevant certifications (CCNA, Fortinet Certifications, Microsoft Certifications for Azure and M365) are a plus.
