As a Scheduler, you will be responsible for overseeing, executing and monitoring the daily schedule for our operations team based on customer needs. You will also be responsible for making sure order deadlines are both reasonable and achievable. Working closely with Supply Chain and the Master Scheduler, you will monitor inventory and materials to prevent shortages or delays in production.

More about your responsibilities:

  • Production Planning & Coordination: Create, monitor, and adjust weekly production schedules based on customer orders, available inventory, and manufacturing capacity.
  • Cross-Functional Communication: Collaborate with production, sales, and customer service teams to align schedules and clearly communicate the status of customer orders.
  • Material & Inventory Oversight: Work closely with purchasing and the master scheduler to ensure raw material availability and avoid shortages or delays.
  • New Product Launch Support: Partner with cross-functional teams to plan for material readiness and evaluate outcomes of new product launches.
  • Performance Improvement: Take part in improving on-time delivery through root-cause analysis and production planning enhancements.
  • Capacity & Bottleneck Resolution: Analyze capacity planning reports and help resolve constraints through process improvements and scheduling adjustments.
  • Procurement & Supplier Coordination: Convert material requisitions into purchase orders and manage delivery timelines with suppliers to meet production targets.
  • Daily Operational Engagement: Actively participate in daily tiered production meetings and contribute to resolving scheduling or material-related challenges.
  • Compliance & Safety Focus: Ensure compliance with internal quality systems, and health, safety, and environmental procedures in all scheduling activities.

If you’ve got:

  • Post-secondary education, preferably in supply chain or inventory management
  • 2+ years of progressive responsibility in the Production and Inventory control field within a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge and experience in various Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) / Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems
  • APICS certification is considered an asset
