We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist for a permanent part-time position (0.6 FTE) at Kelowna General Hospital. This position works Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 08:00-16:00.
This role is primarily focused on Pediatric Outpatient Services, including the assessment and treatment of infants, children, and youth with swallowing difficulties. Responsibilities include conducting complete Videofluoroscopic Swallowing Studies.
While the primary focus is on pediatric outpatient services, there may be occasions where this position floats to support other areas within the SLP department, depending on service needs.

About the position:

The SLP is an autonomous professional who has expertise in typical development and disorders of communication as well as assessment and intervention in these areas. The SLP may work directly with clients and/or with their caregivers or other persons who regularly interact with them for the purpose of creating environments that promote optimal communication. The Speech-Language Pathologist contributes to the organization and the overall goals of the department/program quality assurance initiatives, meetings, research and education.

Full practicing registration as a Speech-Language Pathologist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia (CHCPBC).

One year’s clinical experience with adults in a hospital setting and/or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Valid BC Driver’s license required.
