We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time HR Coordinator, Buy Low Foods to join our People team in Langley, BC.

Reporting to the HR Manager, Buy Low Foods, you will be responsible for serving as a point of contact for our retail stores and office team members for HR-related inquiries. In this role, you will be involved in general HR and benefits administration, onboarding, employment engagement initiatives and providing backup support for claims and recruitment.

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing general administrative support and responding to employee inquiries regarding vacation, payroll and other HR-related questions.
  • Benefits administration, including determining eligibility, creating enrollment packages, processing change requests and updating information in Avanti.
  • Providing administrative support for the pension plan and RRSP products.
  • Monitoring annual bonus program, including calculating bonuses based on targets, internal movements, communicating to team members and submitting to payroll for processing.
  • Creating employment letters (such as confirmations, references, legal requests, etc.), as requested.
  • Processing internal movement forms, such as transfers and promotions.
  • Maintaining accurate employee documentation for all HR processes and audits.
  • Tracking SIN expiry dates, turnover metrics and onboarding.
  • Supporting with the execution of annual team member engagement survey, including coordinating logistics, creating action plans, and tracking on improvement plans.
  • Managing special projects, such as the student bursary, service awards, and Christmas Card programs.
  • Providing backup support for claims and recruitment, as needed.


You have:

  • Completed or working towards a bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration or Human Resources.
  • 2+ years of experience in an HR-related role.
  • Experience in benefit administration is an asset.
  • Completion of or working towards a CPHR designation is an asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of payroll and benefits systems such as Avanti and Workday is an asset.

Compensation Details:

$48,000.00 - $60,000.00
