The Front Doors team is hiring a skilled Sr. DevOps Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in streamlining our software development and deployment processes, ensuring high availability and performance of TurboTax.com and TurboTax.ca. This position requires a strong understanding of both development and operations, with a focus on automation, monitoring, and incident response.
Intuit has embraced a hybrid way of working. This is a hybrid role with the expectation of working from our Toronto office 3 days per week.

What you'll bring
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical
- Experience with source code version control tools and/or automated continuous integration software.
- Proficiency with DevOps tools such as Akamai, TeamCity, Jenkins, and CLI.
- Experience with Python or other scripting
- Background in system administration, hardware configuration, IT, and Cloud
- Familiarity with SEO tools and
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to
- Thorough knowledge of operating
- Good communication and interpersonal
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within geographically distributed
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines: Create and manage Jenkins pipelines and shared libraries using Groovy and shell scripts to automate CI/CD processes, ensuring they align with diverse release requirements.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design and deploy IaC solutions using CloudFormation templates, Terraform configurations, and custom scripts that leverage REST APIs to optimize project workflows.
- Architect AWS-based solutions: Design and build comprehensive AWS solutions for various application types, including CDN-fronted static web pages, serverless or containerized applications supported by API gateways or load balancers, and event-driven ETL workloads or data streamers.
- Manage CDNs and optimize web performance: Configure and manage CDNs like Akamai and CloudFront for complex websites such as com and TurboTax.ca, implementing best practices and ensuring compliance. Collaborate with front-end engineers to enhance web performance and security, and work closely with SEO specialists to ensure proper search engine indexing and boost organic search rankings.
- Develop edge computing solutions: Create Akamai EdgeWorker, CloudFront Functions, and Lambda@Edge solutions to customize request/response handling, tailoring them to specific web application or architectural needs.
- Provide on-call support for high-traffic events: Offer on-call support during major high-traffic events to swiftly address and mitigate web-based attacks, ensuring continuous service and security.
