Scrawlr is a company building a software platform and series of products dedicated to enabling alternative forms of communication layered on existing internet content, together with delivering superior monetization flexibility and content ownership for content generators.


Jauntr, a division of Scrawlr, will provide the commercial airline industry, hotels, and other travel vendors the ability to offer a range of direct purchase options of their services to customers.

Summary


We are looking for a Personal Travel Sales Manager that will work on Jauntr. Your focus will be on client relationship management and acquisition, potential market identification and analysis, partner identification and relationship management, service offering definition and refinement, and cooperation with the technology development team to accommodate future commercial growth plans.


Namely, the key objectives of the role will be:


  • Leading all the revenue-generating activities for Jauntr
  • Facilitating the adoption of Jauntr’s offerings, increasing its user base
  • Maintaining existing relationships, and building new relationships with airlines in Canada, US, and any other international markets
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with partner companies (Lodgr, Verto) and identifying additional partners (e.g., travel insurance, car rentals)
  • Managing and iterating on the rewards system (points)
  • Identifying, refining, and communicating commercial needs to the development team
  • Establishing the administrative capacity to support commercial activities, prioritizing client needs
  • Planning and executing on additional commercial partnerships


Responsibilities


Your role will include, but will not be limited to:


  • Negotiating with clients, customers and partner companies to continuously improve the profitability of Jauntr
  • Coordinating initiatives with the executive management by providing regular progress reports on all outstanding initiatives
  • Conduct periodic market research and identify prospective business opportunities within North America and internationally
  • Report and record budgets, expenses, and revenue attributable to all outstanding commercial activities
  • Liaising between various teams within Jauntr, including, but not limited to the development team
  • Identifying and managing commercial risks and designing and implementing strategies to remediate them


Required Skills or Experience


Candidates seeking to apply for the Commercial Lead position must satisfy the following requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, marketing, administration, or a related field
  • Three to five (3-5) years of relevant experience in business development
  • Experience with marketing and project management
  • Strong strategic thinking and leadership skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the proven ability to effectively communicate across different levels of the organization
  • Excellent analytical reasoning, problem solving, time management, and organizational skills

Salary and Benefits


  • Base salary plus an options grant commensurate with capacity for contribution to the team
  • Extended health benefits plan


Position Type


  • Type: Permanent, Full-Time, In Person
  • Time Commitment: 40 hours per week, with occasional overtime required
  • Work Location: Vancouver, BC
