In accordance with established vision and values of the organization, the Clinical Practice Consultant - Elderly Services practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as well as within a patient and family centered care model.

The Clinical Practice Consultant - Elderly Services is to champion, guide and lead the delivery of a comprehensive care for clients. The Clinical Practice Consultant - Elderly Services will promote the delivery of quality client care by providing clinical consultation and expertise, education and direction based on a specialized body of knowledge to interdisciplinary team members. This role will collaborate with other Clinical Practice Consultants - Elderly Services and members of the inter disciplinary teams; research and evaluate current standards and facilitate the development and implementation of program policies and procedures, education programs for staff and quality improvement initiatives, incorporating evidence based ‘best practices’.
