We are looking for a Training and Commissioning Technician to join our team and provide technical support to our clients located across the USA. The successful candidate will have a technical background and be able to commission, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair LWR technology. We’re looking for someone who enjoys being out in the field, isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty, and sees travel as part of the experience. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, be able to work independently, and be an excellent communicator.


This is considered to be an entry-level position. Travel expenses are paid by LWR, and benefits are included after a 3- month probationary period.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Travel to customer sites for commissioning and servicing of LWR systems
  • Communicate daily with supervisor on progress
  • Provide support to clients with system commissioning and product knowledge
  • Train site operators on proper LWR system operation and maintenance
  • Prepare reports, budgets, and daily timesheets
  • Available for on-call hours during weekends and evenings periodically
  • Participate and contribute to the engineering meetings with ideas and feedback from the field
  • Adhere to all prescribed safety procedures, including wearing assigned safety equipment


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Mechanical/electrical field work experience an asset
  • New graduate from Engineering Technology diploma (mechanical preferred)
  • PLC and HMI experience an asset
  • Basic plumbing and electrical experience an asset
  • Driver’s License with clean record, abstract may be requested
  • Valid passport for unrestricted travel to USA and other international locations
  • Experience in the agriculture industry preferred

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Travel frequency will be 75% or greater based on project requirements
  • Must have the physical ability to bend, stoop, lift, kneel, squat
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Will be required to stand for long periods of time
  • Will be working in rural locations
