What You’ll Be Doing
- Execute construction layouts and stake grades for roads, bridges, and site development
- Interpret engineered drawings and transfer that knowledge to the field
- Conduct topographic and as-built surveys with high attention to accuracy and detail
- Record and report field data — precision is your middle name
- Communicate daily with Project Managers and Supervisors
- Operate safely at all times in active construction zones
- Help out with general labour tasks when needed — teamwork makes the dream work
- Geomatics certification (in progress or complete) or strong field survey experience
- A collaborative mindset — you work well with crews and adapt quickly to changing priorities
- A passion for working outdoors in all weather, on all terrain
- Willingness to travel throughout BC (LOA or camp accommodations provided)
- Flexibility to work night shifts when the schedule calls for it
- Clean Class 5 driver’s license
- Physical ability to hike rough ground and carry up to 20 kg of gear
- Competitive compensation, starting at $65K and scaling with experience
- Potential for project-based uplifts (up to 25%) depending on location and schedule
- Living Out Allowance or full camp accommodations when working away from base
