Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and review detailed Civil 3D models for land development, municipal infrastructure, and transportation projects.
  • Prepare and oversee erosion and sediment control plans, grading, servicing, stormwater management, and site plan drawings.
  • Produce accurate plan, profile, section, and earthworks drawings in compliance with project specifications.
  • Lead coordination of designs and drawings with internal teams and external consultants.
  • Represent the company in client and stakeholder meetings, building strong relationships and identifying business opportunities.
  • Ensure projects comply with approval authority guidelines, by-laws, and regulatory codes.
  • Mentor and train junior technologists and EITs on best practices in civil design and drafting.
  • Continuously improve design and modeling processes to boost team efficiency.
  • Conduct site visits to collect data, monitor contractor progress, and prepare standardized reports.
  • Support construction reviews to verify adherence to design specifications.
  • Prepare engineering reports and assist with technical documentation.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in company processes and standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Civil Division Manager or Team Lead.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent.
  • Eligible for or holding C.Tech., C.E.T. designation through OACETT, or L.E.T. designation through PEO preferred.
  • Minimum 12 years' experience in land development, municipal infrastructure, and/or transportation engineering.
  • Strong understanding of approval processes, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Proficient in AutoDesk Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Proven ability to mentor and coach junior team members.
  • Excellent drafting skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
