Huawei Canada has an immediate 12-month contract opening for a Human Resources Specialist.

About the job:

  • Responsible for HR business partnership support for designated departments, combined with full-cycle recruitment of high-end technical talent.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to assigned client groups, guiding workforce planning, employee engagement, and organizational development.
  • Support leadership with insight-driven recommendations that align talent strategies with business objectives.
  • Provide day-to-day HR guidance and ensure consistent application of internal policies and procedures.
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for specialized technical roles, including niche technical functions. Source and engage highly skilled candidates, conduct assessments, coordinate interviews, and manage offer processes.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand complex role requirements and competitive positioning.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment and employee records. Ensure adherence to internal processes and compliance with applicable legislation.
  • Partner with HR Leads and business stakeholders to align recruitment efforts and HR strategies. Support onboarding and contribute to enterprise-wide HR initiatives.

The target annual compensation (based on 2080 hours per year) ranges from $48,000 to $94,000 depending on education, experience and demonstrated expertise.

Job requirements

About the ideal candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of recruitment experience with a strong focus on high-end technical roles.
  • At least 3 years of progressive HR experience in a business partner or generalist role.
  • Strong consultative and analytical skills, with the ability to influence technical and operational leaders.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with high discretion in handling sensitive matters.
  • High attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate, confidential records.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, people-focused environment.
