In this role, you will be accountable for the quality and management of all Outbound Transportation functions, ensuring effective team leadership and collaboration to achieve optimal performance. You will be responsible for managing transportation effectiveness, overall delivery performance, and maintaining data integrity and accuracy of customer delivery schedules and order consolidations. As a representative of the Transportation team, this role will work closely with regional operations personnel and carriers, fostering strong relationships and ensuring seamless communication and coordination. The incumbent will provide comprehensive support for all Transportation management functions, including cost control, service level agreements, and information flow, while actively contributing to the development of transportation initiatives as an integral part of the National Transportation management team.

How you create impact
- Utilize the TMS to actively manage daily transportation operations, including dispatching, routing, tracking shipments, and generating reports
- Monitor carrier performance within the TMS, proactively address service issues, and resolve shipment delays or disruptions in real-time
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, building and maintaining strong relationships based on trust, responsiveness, and effective communication
- Proactively engage with clients to understand their evolving transportation needs, address concerns, and provide timely updates on shipment status and potential issues
- Effectively manage client escalations, conducting thorough investigations, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Ensure compliance with Kuehne + Nagel's QSHE requirements and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines for drugs and health products
- Monitor carrier performance, address service issues, and resolve shipment delays or disruptions
- Troubleshoot operational issues, identify root cause, and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure smooth and efficient loading and unloading of shipments
- Maintain accurate transportation records and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal procedures
- Responsible for team performance planning, including setting goals, conducting performance reviews, and providing feedback
- Ensure all processes are documented in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regularly updated
- Manage customer complaints, and discrepancies, including conducting root cause analysis and ensuring Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA)
- Prepare and review monthly statistical data and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for carrier and client communications and reviews
- Create and implement performance improvement plans for carriers and internal teams
- 5 years in a Transportation leadership role
- 5 years in a leadership role
- 1-3 years of TMS experience
- 5-7 years of experience in the Supply chain industry
- Bachelor's degree in Supply chain is a plus
- CCITT or CCLP designation is a plus
