We have built connections with key opinion leaders who are already using the Globe System and are helping to tell our story.

We have now completed our pivotal clinical study, and our focus is on regulatory approvals and commercial launch. This is an exciting and significant milestone in our journey to bring this ground-breaking technology to patients.

We are seeking a highly organized and technically proficient Configuration Project Manager to join our team. This role is crucial for accelerating our Configuration Management (CM) projects and programs, driving efficiency gains in Design and New Product Introduction (NPI) processes, reducing data model risks in commercial systems, and improving the day-to-day work experience for those involved in change control. You will play a key role in improving the stability and reliability of our information systems and product baselines.

Please note, this opportunity is a hybrid work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

Project Leadership & Execution:

  • Driving the execution of technical projects focused on off-the-shelf (OTS) information system configurations and upgrades.
  • Developing and managing detailed project plans, schedules, estimates, and resource plans, ensuring projects align with milestones and budgets.
  • Conducting comprehensive risk analyses and proactively monitoring project progress.

Configuration Management & Change Control

  • Helping to introduce, support, and continuously improve new change control workflows.
  • Coordinating the administration of change requests and notices, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
  • Leading data model changes that impact business owners of critical systems such as PLM, PDM, MRP/ERP, and QMS, including performing complex impact analyses.
  • Conducting configuration auditing, specifically focusing on software version control, integration construction, and release management.
  • Contributing to the building and ongoing management of our Configuration Management Database (CMDB).

Cross-functional Collaboration & Consensus Building

  • Coordinating with and driving consensus among various departments affected by or involved in new CM practices and infrastructure.
  • Analyzing and documenting requirements by liaising effectively with a range of users across the organization.
  • Quality Assurance & Vendor Management:
    • Ensuring adherence to established quality standards and thoroughly reviewing all project deliverables.
    • Managing the integration of vendor tasks and tracking/reviewing vendor deliverables on applicable projects.

You will be successful in this role because you possess these attributes:

Experience

  • Proven experience in technical project management, specifically with a focus on Configuration Management (CM), information systems, or software development lifecycles.
  • Solid understanding of change control processes and best practices.
  • Experience with PLM, PDM, MRP/ERP, and QMS systems is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with building and managing a CMDB (Configuration Management Database) is a strong asset.

Technical Skills

  • Strong technical acumen to plan, organize, and control resources, procedures, and timing for technical processes or projects.
  • Ability to conduct thorough impact analyses, especially concerning data model changes across integrated systems.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively consult, coordinate, and build consensus with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to work.

Education

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification is a plus.

Compensation

Kardium has listed the total cash compensation range (base salary + 5% RRSP contribution) that we expect to pay applicants for this role, as of the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. For candidates with more or less experience than listed above, the pay range will be adjusted.

As a permanent employee, you will also participate in Kardium’s stock option plan.

  • $107,000 – $120,000 (CAD Annually)
