Full Stack Engineer

Kopperfield builds software for electrical contractors that helps them prepare electrical calculations and permit documentation quickly and accurately. A “copilot” for electrical contractors.

We make it easy to permit residential and light commercial retrofits, including EV chargers, heat pumps, solar panels, and more. Thousands of contractors across the U.S. use Kopperfield today, and we’ve nearly tripled our subscriber base this year so far.

- Build software that makes it easier to comply with the electrical code and handle permit documentation.

- Partner with the founder to influence product design and direction.

- Ship fast while keeping the codebase clean and dependable.

Job requirements

==========================

• Minimum 2 years of full-time, professional software engineering experience after graduation (not including internships or school projects)

• Proficient with our tech stack and committed to continuous self-improvement

• Actively mastering AI tools to work faster, smarter and help you do your best work

• Familiar with basic electrical concepts, or eager to learn (e.g., you understand what V = IR means)

• Comfortable working in-person in North Vancouver, BC at least 1 day per week

What we offer

Hourly rate: $70 - $80/hour CAD, depending on experience

Schedule: Full-time (40 hrs/week)

Location: Hybrid, with in-person time in North Vancouver

Term: Contract role, with potential to convert to full time after 90 days at $100,000 - 110,000/year CAD + equity
