Position Information

The Director of Student Success and Analytics is a key leadership role that directly supports the school administration in executing critical academic, operational, and student-focused initiatives. This position combines leadership in data and assessment, post-secondary pathways, school logistics, and student culture. The role is designed for a certified teacher who brings both classroom experience and strategic leadership capacity, and who is eager to contribute meaningfully to school-wide planning and staff support.

Key Responsibilities

Data & Assessment

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and use of assessment tools and academic data (e.g., common assessments, diagnostics).
  • Analyze academic performance data to inform school administration on school-wide decisions and classroom practice.
  • Facilitate data-informed goal setting and instructional planning with staff and leadership teams.
  • Support teachers in using classroom data to differentiate instruction and monitor student growth.

Student Services & Pathways

  • Support school administration with school-wide systems for student guidance, discipline, and post-secondary planning.
  • Build and sustain partnerships with post-secondary institutions and industry organizations that expand student opportunities.
  • Organize and support open houses and other events that engage students and families.
  • Support a positive school culture by coordinating guest speakers and organizing off-campus, career-focused field trips.

Planning & Logistics

  • Coordinate student scheduling and course planning with school leadership.
  • Support administrative planning for smooth school operations aligned with student needs.
  • Contribute to the development and promotion of scholarship programs for graduating students.

Required Qualifications

  • Alberta teaching certification and a minimum of five years of successful classroom teaching experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in data-informed decision-making and/or instructional leadership.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to support both school leaders and teaching staff in achieving student success.
  • Commitment to the mission and academic vision of STEM Collegiate.
