Marid Industries Limited is seeking a safety-conscious and highly organized Industrial Loader, Structural Steel to join our fast-paced yard operations team. This is a full-time position ideally suited to individuals who thrive in a physically demanding environment and enjoy contributing to a team that delivers high-quality results on time, every time.
As a key player in our structural steel loading operations, you will be responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient loading and unloading of structural steel components, often oversized and heavy, for delivery to construction and fabrication sites. You will also be responsible for staging materials to support production schedules, assisting with yard organization, and contributing to continuous safety and quality improvements.

What you'll do
Responsibilities
Load and unload structural steel components onto and off of trailers, trucks, and storage racks using forklifts, overhead cranes, and rigging equipment.
Inspect steel components prior to loading to ensure accuracy, quality, and conformance with shipping documents.
Secure loads safely and in compliance with legal and safety standards for transport.
Coordinate with the logistics manager, lead hand, drivers, and production teams to prioritize loading schedules.
Maintain an organized and clean yard layout to facilitate easy access to materials and support safe movement of equipment.
Conduct regular equipment checks and report any maintenance issues or safety concerns immediately.
Perform routine physical labour such as lifting, carrying, and moving materials as needed.
Participate actively in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and ongoing training initiatives.
Adhere to all company safety policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Maintain accurate records of materials handled and follow proper documentation procedures.
What you'll need
Qualifications
Forklift and overhead crane certification preferred (training available in-house).
Experience working with structural steel in a fabrication or construction yard environment is an asset.
Strong spatial awareness and understanding of weight distribution and load balance.
Able to read and interpret shipping manifests, packing lists, and basic technical drawings.
Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy loads (up to 50 lbs) and working in outdoor conditions.
Proven ability to work safely in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
