Your future role
- Ensure site strategy in line with the global North America Services and Parts & Overhaul global strategy. Promote and collaborate to the site development and growth. Implement and share the strategic vision in site.
- Account for and lead site safety, production, warehouse and continuous improvement, program, are set and realized through sponsorship of regular sessions with Site stakeholders.
- Ensure Quality Cost Delivery (QCD) performance
- Deploy & sustain all sites processes (Warehouse, Supply Chain, Industrial, Production…)
- Operation and warehouse planning and workload management
- Continuous improvement & APSYS deployment for the site
- Deploy Quality mindset (Poke Yoke, QRQC, 5 Why’s…)
- Lead manufacturing and warehouse activities related to projects and aftermarket parts delivery
- Site industrialization (BOM accuracy, Tooling, …)
- Resources availability & skills management (staffing, trainings, qualification, …)
- Operators training, certification and self-inspections
- Measure, report and improve performance through Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) related to targets, including but not limited to production output, Inventory accuracy, AZDP and Alstom Production Systems (APSYS) assessments and availability.
- Account for and maintain all assets and materials on-site including but not limited to building interior and exterior (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, …), site vehicles if applicable, as well as inventory of supplies and parts.
- Prepare, with Finance and Operations, all site financials analysis and reporting such as annual site budget, Capital Expenditures (CAPEX), forecasting requirements, variance analysis and corrective actions.
- Monitor and approve all site related invoices i.e. utilities, phone, rent, maintenance, etc.
- Ensure that requirements in terms of Safety, EHS, Ethics & Compliances, special processes, Quality alerts, etc. are properly identified, applied and documented, including compliance to the Alstom Zero Deviation Plan (AZDP) throughout the site.
- Maintain quality manufacturing and parts through coordination with Quality and Engineering.
- Maintain a Disaster Recovery Plan to reinstate communication and data services in the event of an emergency.
- Maintain site production and warehouse staff by interviewing, selecting, orienting, training, developing employees while maintaining a safe, secure, and legal work environment that fosters personal growth opportunities. Accountable for employee time management, workload distribution and people cycle management.
- Monitor and appraise results of employees, in collaboration with Human Resources. Use coaching, counseling, and when necessary, disciplinary measures to encourage desired outcome.
- Promote positive morale throughout the site, contribute to employee engagement, support activities at site towards positive environment and team building (Ethics & Compliance, diversity, Corporate Social Responsibility, Community Engagement).
- Be present at site, and when unavailable name a delegate for the management of the Site.
- Degree in Industrial or Operations Management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in an industrial and/or warehousing environment
- Experience as people manager required
- Experience in Railway industry an advantage
- knowledge in Industrial Management, manufacturing processes and technologies, overhaul
- knowledge in warehousing, logistics and supply chain
- knowledge and experience in lean management tools, methods, process improvement and problem solving
- Knowledge in Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) rules and regulations, Applicable Social Relations & Labour Law
- Strong people skills with the ability to coach and problem solve and building autonomous team
- Knowledge of SAP and other ERP systems along with knowledge of quality management and finance; Proficient user of Word, Excel & PowerPoint
