The shift pattern for this post is and three fays out of seven.

Please note the salary is pro rata for part time hours.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced 18.5 hour Band 6 Specialist Cardiorespiratory dietitian within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. The successful candidate will join the Cardiorespiratory – ID dietetic team based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH).

Key Roles And Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of dietetic practices and procedures for adult patients with cardiac and respiratory conditions.
  • Conduct comprehensive nutritional, clinical, and social assessments for patients referred for nutritional care within these specialties.
  • Based on assessment findings, develop, advise, and communicate appropriate nutritional care plans to patients and their carers.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and assess the effectiveness of dietetic interventions for patients with complex pathophysiologies.
  • Actively engage in the Service's clinical effectiveness program through targeted investigative practice.
  • Communicate findings from investigative practices to the Dietetic Service and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Play a pivotal role in service development and innovation, ensuring care is aligned with national professional and HCPC standards.
  • Offer leadership, supervision, and mentorship to dietetic staff and students.

Candidate Requirements

  • HCPC registration as a Dietitian.
  • Relevant post graduate clinical dietetic experience
