HR Coordinator, Integrated Talent Management POSITION OVERVIEWThe City of Maple Ridge is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to become a vital part of our team.In the role of Human Resources Coordinator, Integrated Talent Management, you will be an integral member of the Human Resources team. Your primary focus will be on supporting the design and execution of initiatives that strengthen recruitment, training, professional development, and talent retention across the organization.You will collaborate closely with HR colleagues and leadership to drive key talent management functions, including workforce planning, performance management, and employee growth opportunities. By partnering with departments and stakeholders throughout the City, you will help ensure HR programs and processes are implemented effectively—supporting both daily operations and long-term strategic goals.Become part of a collaborative and innovative HR team dedicated to attracting top talent, nurturing employee development, and fostering a workplace where people thrive. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Support and coordinate full-cycle recruitment activities, from preparing job postings to preparing job offers.
- Administer and coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes to deliver a positive employee experience
- Assist in the execution of talent management programs, including recruitment, employee development, succession planning, and performance management.
- Support the coordination and delivery of employee training sessions, including scheduling, logistics, and tracking participation and progress.
- Assist with the development of training materials and resources to support employee growth.
- Support Advisors to address talent gaps and assist in identifying opportunities for employee development.
- Track recruitment metrics and prepare updates and reports to inform decision making.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring compliance with data privacy and security standards.
- Compile, analyze and maintain various HR reports, including turnover, employee demographics, training metrics and other KPI’s.
- Review, develop, and recommend new or improved methods and procedures to improve efficiencies in HR practices.
- Support HR projects and initiatives as needed, including diversity and inclusion initiatives, employee wellness programs, and organizational development.
- Perform other HR-related tasks and duties as assigned by the HR Manager or Director.
- Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment legislation.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently in a detail oriented, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization while upholding the Human Resources vision, mission and values.
- Ability to demonstrate strong organizational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail, quality control, and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written to build relationships with employees, managers and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to exercise discretion and manage sensitive and confidential information.
- Ability to organize, set priorities, and work with considerable independent judgement and minimal supervision.
- Ability to interpret and apply corporate policies, procedures and collective agreements.
- Considerable experience in preparing and compiling reports, spreadsheets, presentations, editing and formatting of confidential correspondence and documents.
- Ability to provide high level of customer service to staff and other stakeholders, respond to inquiries within established service standard guidelines.
- Completion of a certificate or diploma program in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, or related field.
- 1-2 years of full-cycle recruitment experience, preferably in a Unionized environment.
- CPHR designation preferred.
