POST: Locum Consultant Urologist
BASE: QUEEN ELIZABETH UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
Applications are invited for a Consultant Urological Surgeon post which will provide key input to the Urology Prostate and Core Urology Service across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, and support our growing local population.
The successful candidate must be experienced in dealing with patients with both benign and prostate cancer and will join a dynamic and expanding team of individuals devoted to providing the very best care for our patients.
The post will be available for 12 months in the first instance with a view to substantive post becoming available.
The out of hours commitment would be a 1 in 11 on call rota.
You should be an appropriately trained individual who is able to provide urological services at consultant level. The elective sessions relating to the post may be delivered GGC wide but likely to include on rotation, QEUH, Victoria Ambulatory Care Facility and Gartnavel General Hospital.
The job is offered as a full-time post on a 10 PA basis.
Applicants must have full GMC Registration, a license to practise and eligible for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register. Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview. CESR (Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) route doctors are only eligible to apply for a substantive consultant post once CESR is awarded. Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training.
