Role: The Application Solutions Architect reports to AVP, Product Development and works closely with the Product Management, Development Teams, Security Specialists, and Client Implementation Team. The candidate will be responsible for designing and developing the application architecture of Equisoft/centralize, with particular focus on multi-tenant infrastructure and our client customization framework (ACE – business rule engine scripting tool). This role will ensure our multi-tenant SaaS platform can be scaled efficiently while accommodating client-specific business rules and workflows.

Equisoft/centralize is a powerful back-office insurance agency management system that offers our clients a way to connect carriers' feeds, paramedical data, clients, policies, and more to a single platform. Our workbench solution helps our customers work smarter, provides unique insights, and makes it possible to automate their business processes.

Your Day with Equisoft:   

• Design solutions for our core multi-tenant platform that balance standardization with flexibility
• Collaborate with product and development teams to translate business requirements into scalable architectural designs
• Present architectural solutions in Technical Design Overview sessions to stakeholders and teams
• Guide the evolution of our client customization framework (ACE) to support diverse business needs
• Create clear architectural guidelines that help development teams build consistent, maintainable code
• Evaluate new technologies and approaches to continuously improve our platform capabilities
• Lead architecture review sessions to ensure alignment with best practices and business goals
• Mentor developers on architectural principles and design patterns
• Design integration patterns for seamless connections with internal and external systems
• Help shape the product roadmap by providing technical insights and innovation opportunities
• Documenting technical requirements and specifications
  
  

Requirements:   

Technical  

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or information Technology or College Diploma combined to 3 years of relevant experience   
• Minimum 5 years in application solution architecture roles with at least 10 years of experience in software development
• Proven experience designing and evolving multi-tenant SaaS platforms
• Experience designing customization frameworks that enable client-specific configurations while maintaining core platform integrity
• Strong background in complex business application architecture with focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability
• Experience with cloud-based architecture, preferably in Microsoft Azure or AWS
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and their impact on architecture decisions
• Knowledge of enterprise authentication and identity management solutions, including SSO implementation and protocols (OAuth, OIDC, SAML)
• Strong background in designing integration patterns for both internal systems and external partners
• Experience with microservice architecture and API design (REST, GraphQL) combined with event-driven patterns and messaging systems
• Knowledge of database architecture for secure multi-tenant environments
• Experience with backend technologies (e.g., Kotlin, Java or .NET)
• Experience with modern frontend architecture and component-based design (e.g., React)
• Knowledge of authentication and identity management solutions (SSO, OAuth) in enterprise environments
• Experience presenting and defending architectural decisions to technical and business stakeholders
• Understanding of how to balance technical debt with delivery timelines
• Experience mentoring development teams on architectural principles
• Insurance or financial services domain knowledge (Asset)
• Excellent knowledge of French & English (spoken and written)
