Northern Health is seeking a skilled and motivated Project Manager with a background in electrical systems and project management to join our Capital Planning department. This is your opportunity to contribute to one of the most significant healthcare infrastructure projects in Northern British Columbia.


Please note: This is a temporary role with a scheduled end date of December 31, 2032.


About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Project Officer (UHNBC Tower) and later transitioning to the Alliance Team, the Project Manager – Electrical will lead the planning, design, and construction of the UHNBC Acute Care Tower Project. You will collaborate with consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure operational excellence and project success.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing all phases of project implementation
  • Facilitating cross-functional communication within the Alliance Team
  • Applying a “Best for Project” decision-making approach
  • Ensuring cultural safety, budget adherence, and schedule targets
  • Delivering high-quality outcomes aligned with Key Result Areas (KRAs)

This position is based at the UHNBC Tower Project Office in Prince George, BC.


Compensation

  • Starting salary: $88,990 – $111,237 (commensurate with education, experience, and internal equity)


Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with advanced training in project management
  • 5–7 years of progressive experience in large-scale project planning and execution
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
  • Healthcare experience, PMP certification, or a degree in Business/Health Services Administration are assets
