How You’ll Make a Difference
- Plan and execute compilation, review, and audit engagements, including preparing financial statements in accordance with ASPE.
- Prepare and complete corporate, personal, trust, and other income tax filings.
- Take ownership of client files from planning through completion, managing the workflow and ensuring timely delivery.
- Communicate directly with clients and third parties to gather information and build strong working relationships.
- Participate in a variety of month-end and year-end deliverables, GST and tax filings, reconciliations, and audit support.
- Work across a varied client base, with exposure to multiple industries including real estate and other owner-managed businesses.
- Contribute to team knowledge-sharing and workflow improvements—your ideas are welcome here.
You’re someone who thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing environment and wants to be part of a well-rounded team that supports growth from within. You bring:
- A CPA designation (or you're in the final stages of completing it).
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Canadian public practice firm, including hands-on file work across assurance and tax.
- Experience working with CaseWare, TaxPrep, Excel (pivot tables, formulas; macros a plus), and accounting tools like QBO or Sage.
- Confidence managing competing deadlines and multiple files—you understand that what we sell is time and can prioritize accordingly.
- A proactive, organized mindset with a willingness to dig into complex work and see things through.
- Strong communication skills and comfort speaking directly with clients—especially around AR, AP, and reconciliation items.
- You won’t be boxed in—we encourage independence and initiative while giving you support and mentorship to grow.
