About The Role

  • Assist in conducting geotechnical investigations and analyses to support project requirements.
  • Plan, implement, and oversee geotechnical investigation programs, ensuring they align with project goals and timelines.
  • Support laboratory testing activities, ensuring accurate data collection and analysis.
  • Prepare and improve detailed calculation spreadsheets to support engineering designs and analyses.
  • Develop high-quality technical reports that communicate findings and recommendations clearly.
  • Contribute to technical presentations and assist in the review and interpretation of instrumentation data.
  • Collaborate effectively as an integral team member in a multidisciplinary environment to drive project success.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites within Canada and internationally to support project activities.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field.
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience, with an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification will be an asset
  • A Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of soil characterization, laboratory testing, and data collection techniques.
  • Eagerness to learn and gain experience in the design of tailings storage facilities and waste rock dumps.
  • Intermediate level knowledge in softwares such as Rocsience (Slide, Deeps, Settle2, etc), Geostudio, Plaxis and/or Flac.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills English. Spanish skills will be an asset.
