About the role
We are looking for a Cloud Platform Advisor to join our growing team!
You are a cloud platform specialist specializing in the development, deployment and management of the technology infrastructure that supports an organization's applications and services. This role is essential to ensure that systems operate efficiently, reliably and securely.
What you'll do here:
Building and managing infrastructure: Platform Specialist is responsible for configuring, deploying and managing infrastructure components such as servers, networks, storage and cloud services.
Process automation: Develop and maintain scripts and tools to automate repetitive tasks, improve deployment efficiency and reduce the risk of human error.
Monitoring and maintenance: Set up monitoring systems to track platform performance, detect anomalies and quickly resolve problems.
Security: Work on implementing security measures to protect infrastructure and data, including access management, encryption and intrusion detection.
Performance optimization: Analyze the performance of platform components and implement optimizations to guarantee efficiency and scalability.
Team collaboration: Work with development teams to ensure smooth deployments and efficient use of resources.
Incident management : Respond quickly to technical incidents, identify the root cause of problems, and implement solutions to prevent their recurrence.
Technical documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of configurations, processes and procedures to ensure consistent infrastructure management.
What you bring to the table:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Relevant certification in AWS and/or GCP and/or Azure cloud infrastructure development.
5 years' experience in a DevOps and cloud computing environment (AWS, GCP and Azure).
3 years' experience in "infrastructure as code" (Terraform, Terraform cloud computing).
Technical skills: Expertise in operating systems, networks, virtualization, containerization (such as Docker), and cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, GCP).
Automation and scripting: Proficiency in using scripting languages such as Python, Bash or PowerShell to automate tasks.
Problem solving: Ability to diagnose and solve technical problems quickly.
Security: Knowledge of computer security principles and practices to protect systems.
Analytical approach: Ability to analyze complex logics and optimize technical processes.
Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and technical and non-technical stakeholders.
For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English speaking colleagues across the country.
No work experience in Canada required, but you must have authorization to work in Canada.
