We are currently looking for a Quality Technician – Final Inspection to join our busy and growing manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be engaged in elevating the department and company to the next level. The incumbent will be forward looking and thrive in a culture of continuous improvement.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY
Reporting directly to the Quality Control Supervisor, the Quality Technician - Final Inspection will perform inspection duties on final product to insure that shipped product fulfills all customer specifications and quality requirements. Will also support and cross train with other members of the team and any other related assigned projects.
Key Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Audit and monitor quality requirements in accordance with the company quality assurance policies and company specifications
- Conduct inspections of finished product (new) or services meters
- Initiate Non-Conformance activities when product does not meet statutory, customer or any other requirements
- Document and report inspection findings using final inspection document
- Read and interpret specifications from work order (WO) Card and specific product drawings
- Work with other company personnel to resolve any inspection questions
- Train staff in quality assurance techniques
- When required, document information on the computer in various databases or other internal programs
- Prepare shipper files or any other documents required by customer
- Fully trained to perform the duties of Quality Technician
- Employee may be asked to help with electronic module assembly and/or testing during slower periods
- Comply with all quality, safety requirements
- All other duties and related projects as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and persistence in resolving issues and discrepancies
- Must be mechanically inclined
- Must be able to understand meter on component level
- Poses excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Computer literate - Microsoft applications, an asset
- Good communication skills both written and verbal in English
Educational/Experience Requirements:
- Community College Certificate/Diploma or related work experience
- Must have a minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in meter manufacturing environment
- Must have inspection experience
- Must have ISO 9001 experience.
