Our Oil Trading team in Calgary is looking for a highly successful individual to join our team as an Oil Settlements Specialist. Our desk trades across the entire barrel of oil products with a wide range of customers including producers, refiners, consumers, investors and is focused on growing its customer franchise via participation in both physical and futures markets.

What role will you play?
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely settlement of oil trades and transactions. This role involves working closely with traders, brokers, and financial institutions to reconcile discrepancies, manage settlement processes, and ensure compliance with industry regulations. You will manage the end-to-end settlement process for oil trades, including verification, reconciliation, and confirmation of transactions, reconcile trade details with counterparties, brokers, and internal systems to identify and resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and best practices.

What You Offer
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3-7 years relevant settlements experience in the Energy sector, focusing on Physical Crude Oil and Refined Products
- Experience with trading platforms and settlement systems is highly desirable.
- Highly motivated individual with a confident and professional attitude, possessing high levels of strong analytical thinking, problem solving skills, and attention to detail
- An entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to work well in a team environment and take direction.
